Job Description: AACI is one of the largest community-based organizations advocating for and serving the marginalized and vulnerable ethnic communities in Santa Clara County. Our mission is to strengthen the hope and resilience of our community members by improving their health, mental health, and well-being.
We are looking for a Community Support Advocate who is highly motivated, independent, and passionate about our mission.
The Community Support Advocate is responsible for providing client-defined, culturally responsive advocacy to survivors of gender-based violence, including domestic violence and human trafficking. This position provides multilingual community education, provides training on the intersection of domestic violence and health issues, and builds relationships with community partners.
Qualities we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, behavioral sciences, other related fields, or equivalent working experience.
One year of professional experience in gender-based violence and one year of experience in a professional office environment was preferred.
Ability to adhere to confidentiality requirements around client information.
Fluent and able to provide all services in an Asian language or Spanish and English, preferred
