About the Accounting Team: Join us as an integral part of the Accounting team at Moloco! We are building an elite team of smart and driven individuals to deliver timely and accurate reporting to management and be responsible for growth monitoring at Moloco. You will be instrumental in our financial and business aspirations and will help Moloco realize its potential. In this Accounting Manager role, you will have the opportunity to be a key player in shaping our accounting processes and control flows, tracking our performance, and identifying new opportunities for improvements in our reporting. You will work with professionals from all functions of the company and our external partners and advisors.

This role reports directly to the VP of Finance.
What You’ll Do:
Lead both the technical and the operational side of the monthly financial close activities, such as software revenue recognition (ASC 606), intercompany transactions, lease accounting (ASC 842), and equity accounting
Prepare and/or review journal entries
Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the US and worldwide close, consolidations, and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare financial reports for monthly review meetings
Assist with documenting and updating the policies, procedures, and processes
Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and assist in financial audits.
Assist in documentation and implementation of internal controls
Drive process improvements and optimize efficiencies in the accounting and reporting areas, including elimination or streamlining of manual or non-effective tasks
Contribute to the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements and established best practices
Supervise the accounts payable process and oversee vendor relations
Implement new financial and accounting software and integration tools
Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested
What You’ll Need To Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field
Minimum 6 years of experience, comprising: at least 3 years of relevant public accounting background (“Big 4” firm preferred) and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in corporate accounting departments with a proven record of maintaining monthly financial statements close process
CPA certification
Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial processes, especially financial close
Experience with complex reconciliations, previous experience in global consolidation preferred
People management experience
Strong understanding of both financial and operational controls
Strong knowledge of Excel, accounting software systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Concur, and ADP), and data analysis
Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
A great eye for detail
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
Ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements
Ability to partner cross-functionally across the company
Reliable and able to carry out tasks collaboratively and autonomously
A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
