Women on break often lose confidence as a result of many reasons, including outdated skills, detachment from their industry, and anxiety about the future.Simple Steps has been developing projects that help our members build real-world experiences and professional networks.   • Health Care Interpreter Certificate at City College of San Francisco

The program for the Health Care Interpreter Certificates is designed to train bilingual/bicultural students to become linguistically and culturally competent interpreters who can function effectively and efficiently in healthcare settings. Graduates find employment interpreting in hospitals, clinics, or freelancing for remote and onsite interpreting agencies.https://www.ccsf.edu/hci

This program starts with 36 hours of in-person job search essentials training, including mock interviews with Bay Area employers. Support for your search continues after the program with weekly group sessions and opportunities to meet one-on-one with a career advisor.

Wisen Space is building a community for students through coding and projects. Currently, five Simple Steps members are participating in real-world experiences at Wise Space by engaging with curriculum development, teaching, hackathon event planning, etc.
