We welcome Meeyeon Lee, the founder of Tangerine Media Translation, as she shares her four-year experience of creating subtitles for renowned streaming platforms. By following her journey as a subtitler, participants will learn about the following topics:

-How can I become a subtitle translator?
-How can I use subtitles to learn English?

Meeyeon Lee is a freelance translator working for the world’s most prominent streaming platforms. As a PhD in psychology, she tested the waters of translation by volunteering to translate Coursera courses and TED Talks. Working from her cozy home in the Bay Area, she enjoyed being a translator and has stayed in the field ever since. She now translates various types of media content from TV shows, films, filmmaker commentaries, documentaries, to animated family series.
