We have tendency to think that parents are not supposed to burn out, since parenting is often viewed as rewarding and fulfilling experience. In reality, parents know that being with your kids 24/7, no matter how much you love them, can burn you out physically, mentally, and emotionally. Burnout is real!
This virtual coffee chat will discuss what parental burnout is and what you can do to avoid it. Bokyung Kim is a program director at Simple Steps and holds a Ph.D. degree in Psychology. She is also a parenting consultant and a mom of a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl.
