Simple Steps provides Self Development Programs to help immigrant women solve various issues arising from career break. From building confidence, overcoming anxieties about returning to work, to finding the right career path, we will be with you every step of the way.

Simple Steps is currently working in partnership with organizations sharing our values. Any open positions available at our partner organizations are listed on the Job Board on our website. Anyone applying through our Job Board is offered brief feedback on their resume as well as interview tips from the Simple Steps team.
If you would like to be connected with opportunities just right for your skill sets or career history, join our Talent Pool by submitting your information.
Any career opportunities at non-partner organizations are shared on the Simple Steps Facebook Group or via email. -
Absolutely. Our mission at Simple Steps is to support women’s career restarters no matter how long they have been away from work. Our members have consistently proven their professional competency by meeting the expectations at work even after a long break, which in one notable case spanned over 15 years.
-
You can prepare your resume and LinkedIn profile through our Career Development Programs. By following the tips from our online program, you can optimize your resume and LinkedIn profile and share them with other members in your small group for further feedback. Our program will guide you through the basics of LinkedIn and beyond. We recommend you make the most use out of LinkedIn—not only to showcase yourself but also to research your target career and expand your personal network.
Simple Steps also provides one-on-one resume consultations. Our consultation service is fully personalized and tailored to your individual needs; in addition to fixing grammar mistakes and improving the overall format, we curate your information to provide the most succinct presentation of your experiences and skills.
-
Our Career Development Programs will help you with personal branding, self-introduction, and interview preparation. We also provide one-on-one mock interviews for our most active job seekers. As of now, most of our mock interviews are designed around behavioral questions although we also offer industry-specific questions for certain career categories. We plan to keep expanding our industry-specific interview capacities to encompass more career pathways down the road. Our interview feedback will give you a better understanding of your strengths and areas needing improvement.
