[Epilogue] Business English Interest Group (2020)

In 2020, 23 members actively participated in the Business English Interest Group. The group followed the 10-week schedule to practice communicating within the workplace by completing written assignments and role-playing in a small group during Zoom sessions. The topics were carefully selected to provide the most familiar situations anyone could face at work.

The members not only dedicated a block of their day to improve English but also networked with the members who have a wide range of experiences. Getting to know people from different career backgrounds can open up surprising opportunities and I highly recommend that you overcome any fear you may have and put yourself out there and start making connections. New in 2021

The Business English group will meet once again in 2021 on a weekly basis. The syllabus has been revised to give more opportunities to participate and practice speaking and making presentations.
