Interested in development jobs but at a loss as to how to land one?
Join our talk with Narae Kwon as she shares her drastic career change story—from a musician to a web developer. As previously covered in a Simple Steps member interview, Narae started learning to code when she moved to the U.S. as a gayageumist. After months of studying and internship, she successfully transitioned into an engineer at the web coding platform Qoom. Aside from her career journey, Narae will also delve into the following practical topics in this webinar:
The roles and responsibilities of a junior developer at a startup company
The difference between front-end and back-end development
Tips and advice for aspiring developers with no prior experience in the tech field
The Simple Steps programs that will help your career transition
Narae Kwon earned a Bachelor's degree in Korean music from Seoul National University and was a member of the Busan National Gukak Center. In 2010, she moved to Silicon Valley with her family and obtained a Master's degree in music education from San Francisco State University. Currently a full-stack engineer at Qoom, she also worked as a web developer for Simple Steps, and a front-end developer for Wisen Space and Chingu.
