Simple Hour Hosts

Seonyoung Son, Web Developer

Seonyoung Son was an SW engineer in Korea and joined Simple Steps as a Web Developer. Now she leads coding study groups. After a long career gap, she is starting her second career as a full-time front-end developer. She is surviving this tough pandemic with two little boys.

Gilsun Yoo, Web Master

Gilsun Yu is a Web Master at Simple Steps. Before joining the Simple Septs, she has worked at various finance firms. Currently, she is leading a coding study group and looking to start her 2nd career as Front End developer. She enjoys working with others on various topics.

Simple Hour is our version of a virtual office hour. It is open to anyone who wants to learn about Simple Steps' programs or have questions about career development and opportunities. You can even simply drop by to say hello and network. Visit us anytime during the Simple Hour. No registration is required.


Simple Steps is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower immigrant women to pursue their career aspirations by building a community for female talents, providing self-development and skill-building training programs, and connecting them with job opportunities with local employers to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

We seek out early-stage startups looking to hire a more diverse and inclusive team to grow with the company. Since many Simple Steps members have care-giving responsibilities, we pride ourselves on working with companies with flexible work hours and work from home options. Furthermore, Simple Steps encourages anyone who seeks to change their career path by providing workshops and training programs with our business partners.
