Educators using CLASSUM to communicate with their students have experienced increased student engagement and reduced admin work.

About the Role: As a member of the global sales team, you will primarily focus on reaching out and securing customers (schools and companies) and partners in the United States that are of interest to CLASSUM. Beginning with higher-Ed and corporate training markets, you will identify other key markets and plan go-to-market strategies to acquire new customers. Reporting directly to the Global Lead and COO, you will build and maintain client relationships, set up demos and presentations, draft sales proposals, and you will become the main point of contact for customers located in the U.S. As part of a rapidly growing startup in the center of Gangnam with users from over 4,000 organizations from 23 countries, you will also communicate frequently with the core team at our headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. While occasionally working with the marketing team to create content and distribute promotional materials, you will be able to work with a diverse range of clients and expand your network across different industries with similar educational needs. We are looking for someone who will represent CLASSUM in the U.S. and help expand our operations and client base in the country.

Basic tasks may include

  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services

  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet the needs

  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets

  • Manage complex relationships with clients.

  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for the next steps

Operational

  • Try out working with CLASSUM HQ for about 2-3 months first

  • Biweekly/Weekly calls with CLASSUM Global team in Korea HQ

Requirements

  • Native/bilingual English

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (business or related field preferred)

  • 3 years of B2B SaaS sales/marketing experience in the U.S.

  • Experience in CRM tools, ability to self-start projects, create and/or select relevant content, articles, events, newsletters, and more to help provide value to sales contacts.

  • Strong communication skills via phone and email

  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills

  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Korean (conversational or above)

  • Experience in working at a startup (fast-paced environment)

  • Experience in working in the Edtech industry (K12, Higher Ed, Corporate)

  • Experience using hubspot, other marketing, and adtech tools is a plus

  • Experience as a sales development rep with a track record of achieving sales quotas

Position Type: Part-time, contract-based

Location: Remote, U.S.

Salary Range: Negotiable
